Ask any devout rock fan about Bob Dylan, and they could probably name off an extensive list of some of his greatest hits—“Times They Are A-Changin’”, “Blowin’ Wind”, and the resounding rebel anthem, “Like A Rolling Stone”. But now, the musician is giving fans even more music to feast on with the release of his new 36-disc set of live recordings. For this new compilation, appropriately titled 1966 Live Recordings, the legendary singer-songwriter treats listeners to a fresh catalogue of rare, (mostly) unreleased songs from his 1966 tour across the US, UK, and Europe. The massive box set is set to hit shelves on November 11, making it the perfect holiday gift.
In celebration of this announcement, Dylan is teasing fans with a special raw recording of his bluesy tune, “Tell Me, Momma” from day one of his two-night run at London’s Royal Albert Hall on May 26 and 27, 1966. Listen to the track live below, and if you’re still hungry for more, don’t worry! You’ll be in for some extra helpings of this recording once the album drops next month. If you love Bob Dylan just as much as we do, be sure to follow him on Bandsintown to see when he’ll be playing at a concert venue near you!
