For rapper KB, meaningful experiences in life have led to greater things. Hailing from Tampa, Florida and growing up in a military-turned-divorced family, the “Undefeated” performer is very open about his tough childhood and how restoring his faith led him down the right path. For example, in the song “Doubt”, Burgess rationalizes, “Maybe the fact that my father left me plays a part/and why I’m so afraid that one day I could walk away and leave God”. Through his humble beginnings, his work has been heralded by the likes of Billboard , where both of his albums and EP have gone to No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart.
The “100” rapper’s strong musicality and lyricism are highlighted when he performs. Burgess has an incredible gift for words and his music, though at times can deal with heavy topics, is filled with beautiful hooks and inspirational words of wisdom that he’s gathered over the years. From traveling to Africa on mission trips to being vocal about his faith with fans—it's apparent he enjoys spreading positive vibes. At Reggie’s Rock Club in Chicago, KB gave us a display of pure talent and entertainment.
