Critically acclaimed actor and Broadway star Alan Cumming is the cabaret king. Between his numerous roles in movies, television shows, and live onstage, the star has been bringing his hit show, Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs, to theaters around the world. Debuted back in 2015 at New York’s famous Cafe Carlyle, it has been impressing audiences ever since. Dazzling crowds with a cover of Annie Lennox’s “Why?”, and even singing in French, the Tony award-winner knows how to entertain. Earlier this year, The Manhattan resident also released a live album of the whole thing, so that fans can relive all of the greatness once again.
When we caught the show at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago earlier this month, we had a fantastic evening. The Good Wife star even sang a showstopping mashup of Adele, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry to keep the crowd on the edge of their seats. Check out our photos of the evening, below, and don’t forget to track Alan Cumming on Bandsintown so you never miss another show!
