Pretty soon, while you're flipping through vinyl at your favorite record shop, and browsing new goodness on the Secretly Store, you're going to come across an album cover, and you're not going to want to pass it up. It's going to be Cherry Glazerr's new digs, Apocalipstick.
The 11-track banger (an adjective we choose solely based on the LP's two already-released songs, "Told You I'd Be with the Guys" and "Nurse Ratched", which the trio has been performing live) will drop on January 20. Until then, we plan on catching frontwoman, creative sorceress, business planner, and social media maven, Clementine Creevy, drummer Tabor Allen, and multi-instrumentalist Sasami Ashworth on tour from mid January (first date @ DC9) to mid February (last date @ Teragram Ballroom).
With older, charming songs like "Bloody Bandaid" and "Grilled Cheese", a whole new, powerhouse sound on their forthcoming release (which will also come with a surprise for five lucky winners), gig posters created by artists like Tyler Spangler, and a press shot featuring glitter trapped in a beard, Cherry Glazerr is not a band you want to miss when they come through your town.
We just caught them at The Glass House in Pomona with Slow Hollows and The Regrettes and we're glad we did. Check out the photos and Track the bands so you know when they're coming for you.
