Before they headed off to Coachella, New Order came to perform a packed show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 13. The iconic five-piece treated our ears to fan favorites like “Love Vigilantes”, “Restless”, and “Your Silent Face”. Their encore? A mini-tribute to their origin, Joy Division—comprised of covers for “Decades” and “Love Will Tear Us Apart”.
During the set, neon geometric shapes and black and white images were projected onto the screen behind the band, while strobe lights flashed out into the audience. Fans lost it when the title phrase “love will tear us apart” appeared on the screen during the performance of Joy Division's final single. The band’s original logo also flashed across the screen, offering an incredible and meaningful throwback moment.
