Fans of Theory can expect a new sound from their beloved Canadian hard rockers. After five albums of guitar-shredding and volume-defying post-grunge fare—which spawned singles such as “Bad Girlfriend” and “Lowlife”—the four-piece is promising us an evolution in its sound on its upcoming release, Wake Up Call.
“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything,” says the four-piece. “Our new record reflects a positive change in our sound moving forward. Creating this record from a place of complete freedom, it felt like a natural one as well.”
With new songs also come new tour dates. On September 29, Theory will be hitting the road for a Fall tour that will take them through Minneapolis, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Dallas, and more. Again, fans can look forward to a live experience to match the band’s fresh sound.
“We feel this is a new chapter for us and the live shows will reflect that. Visually and musically, we’re gonna step it up, and are so excited for our fans to see and hear the new Theory,” says the band.
