More than just a country singer, Maggie Rose is a storyteller on the rise—a force to be reckoned with.
The Nashville-based singer’s latest EP, Dreams > Dollars contains some of her smokiest vocals and boldest lyrics yet. With tracks like “Body on Fire”, the 29-year-old crooner explores love, loss, and the sheer power of the female voice on her newest release. The album showcases her departure from traditional country into something more versatile, blending elements of hip-hop, blues, and pop into five anthemic tracks. Despite the experimentation, you can still catch glimpses of Rose’s empowered female country vocalist influences—like Shania Twain and Dixie Chicks—peeking through on this EP that she wrote and co-produced.
Currently on tour, Maggie Rose will be hitting venues across the US this fall, making stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Philly, Vienna, and more. We caught up with the singer-songwriter to find out what tracks made it onto her Tour Bus Playlist, which features everything from Blake Shelton to Childish Gambino.
Be sure to track her on Bandsintown so you don’t miss her come through your city!
The best rock'n'roll band in Nashville! I have been collaborating with these guys for my next project.
This country rock band is on the rise! It was an honor to co-produce this record with them.
New jam by Kelly Clarkson is fire. She exudes so much confidence and it is quirky and sexy all at once.
This song, her voice and the production are so inspiring to me. She has always been a favorite but I love the new direction in which she has taken her music.
Two of the coolest female artists collaborating on one track. Raw, honest and the kind of soul you can only find in Mississippi.
My classic jam. Carole King herself is simply classic.
I am so proud of my friends Jana and Nicolle Galyon for this one. Jana is a brave, honest artist who took Nicolle’s song about love’s trials and delivered it to her audience in a beautiful way.
Honest country music. My favorite band on country radio. It was an honor to sing this song live with them earlier this summer.
She’s in love, everybody! And, it will make you smile. This title track off her new album is so catchy and fun.
Love that Isbell brought the 400 Unit back on this incredible record that is The Nashville Sessions.
Current country gold. Looking forward to joining Blake later this year.
Weekend jams.
The only thing more vulnerable than this song is Carly’s voice and delivery. So excited for her and all the things coming her way.
I love Jillian’s whole vibe. She is so dynamic and this song showcases her songwriting chops.
Descriptive as hell and very conversational. I love the picture she paints. This girl is a badass and it is so fun watching her take off.
My friend Derrick Royer of The Morrison Brothers Band introduced me and it has been stuck in my head!
Kip is a great artist and I loved getting to hear this song while out on the road with him this past summer. So excited for people to hear Slowheart.
The lead single from my project Dreams>Dollars.
A song I want more people to hear from my recent record. My favorite song off the project.
Off road jam that I wrote with my friend Craig Morgan.
