LA-based Mosaic MSC seamlessly blend indie pop and contemporary gospel to create subtly electrifying tracks. Despite being a band with more than a handful of members, MSC's sound never sounds too crowded, as they layer gentle instrumentals and vocals to give their music a larger-than-life feel that radiates a sense of infectious hopefulness over audiences. The band has spent the past few years bringing their refreshingly positive vibes across the country, from conferences to festivals to theaters. And their exhaustive touring has payed off: the live version of their most popular track, “Tremble,” has racked up over 30 million streams since its 2018 release.
Their latest EP, Heaven, explores a more electronic side of the band—their tight harmonies and fun synths give the tracks a polished and fresh feel. Varying from dancey pop jams like “15” to unedited and raw samples like “Voice Memo (Heaven on Earth)" showcases MSC’s comfort with a range of different styles. Their latest single, “Eyes On You,” slowly builds from a piano ballad to an absolute wall of sound, a perfect example of how the group has mastered making their low-key tracks sound absolutely massive.
Currently on their See the Light Tour with singer Travis Greene, the band hung around New York City before their February 27 show at Irving Plaza. We got them to share their favorite NYC food spots to hit while they’re visiting (of course, La Esquina made the list). Check out their city guide below!
Good Thanks
Best coffee. Best breakfast. Best vibe.
Cheesecake at Soho Grand
We almost didn’t want to tell you about this because it takes too long for this dessert to get to the table as it is. Best cheesecake in the world. Hands down. You didn’t hear it from us.
La Esquina
You’ll hardly ever hear us rave about a salad, but the La Esquina salad will change your life. If you can’t be persuaded to lettuce, the bisteak con queso taco is OUT OF THIS WORLD!
Happy Bones Coffee
We run on caffeine and Happy Bones makes our hearts jolt in the most comforting way.
Mimi Cheng’s
DUMPLINGS FOREVERRRR!!!!!! Come here once and you’ll be sold. Mimi Cheng's is a food staple for every one of us.
Burger Joint
We love hidden restaurants, and Burger Joint is trashy in the best possible way.
The Meatball Shop
Meatballs. Pasta. Always extra meatballs. We love the vibe of coziness and the way we can’t move after we eat.
Bubby's
Classic.
