Since their breakout single “Friends” went viral in 2015, Chase Atlantic have shown no signs of slowing down. Blending their alt-pop sound with elements of rock and R&B, the Aussie trio have drawn comparisons to bands like The 1975 and The Neighbourhood.
On June 25, three days before the release of their sophomore album, PHASES, the band — Mitchel Cave (lead vocals), Christian Anthony (rhythm guitar), and Clinton Cave (lead guitar) — visited Austin, Texas for a show at Emo’s, giving eager fans a taste of the latest additions to their growing catalog.
Joined by opener Lauren Sanderson, the band performed songs from both their self-titled debut album (“Swim,” “Drugs & Money”), and new LP (“ANGELS,” “STUCKINMYBRAIN”). The show’s mellow neon lighting, combined with the infectious energy of frontman Cave, made the intimate venue the place to be in Austin last week. With the PHASES tour just about halfway over, there’s still time to catch the band this summer at shows in Seattle, Denver, Boston, New York City, and more!
