Since their Brooklyn beginnings, indie pop band DREAMERS have been carving their own path, inching toward stardom. The tight-knit trio—Nick Wold (lead vocals, guitar), Jacob Wick (drums), and Nelson (bass, keys, vocals)—have mastered the art of creating layered soundscapes that are brimming with good vibes, something we've admired since they released their debut record, This Album Does Not Exist.
As their name suggests, the band keep their heads in the clouds (in the best way possible), promoting their own manifesto, which encourages fans and peers to dream out loud. It’s clear that while holding true to that open-minded, determined philosophy, DREAMERS have been able to manifest their success.
Similarly to acts like Night Riots, Smallpools, courtship., and Twin XL, DREAMERS have made a much-needed contribution to the cosmic rock world with their light-hearted, infectious discography.
Following the traction gained from their first US headlining tour with Weathers, Morgxn, and Rad Horror this past fall, the "Sweet Disaster" hitmakers haven’t showed signs of slowing down. The band’s sophomore record, Launch Fly Land (a follow-up to previous EPs, Launch and Fly) was released on April 26, 2019. This LP marked a new genesis for the band—they have drawn from the signature upbeat sound that they’ve become known for, but added a biting edge. High-energy lead single, “Die Happy,” is a prime example—a smitten, love-sick anthem that would find a perfect home on the soundtrack of a Netflix romcom.
Just off a huge tour supporting 311 and Dirty Heads, the three-piece created a tour diary for us, giving us a “fly on the wall” look at their on-tour shenanigans. From their first visit at the infamous Denver outdoor theater, Red Rocks, to Lollapalooza, to impromptu desert photoshoots, check it out below!

On I40, somewhere in the Texas panhandle, there’s a roadside oddity featuring graffiti covered cars half-buried in the ground and an abandoned house now inhabited by an ocelot. We were driving east from LA to Huber Heights, OH to start tour with 311 and Dirty Heads.
At the beginning of tour, there were a nice chunk of days off in between shows. We booked a bunch of Airbnbs in the Midwest and cooked a big meal every night. This photo was taken in the endless backyard of a house in Ohio.
We spent July 4th in Lansing, MI and neighbors put on a nice display of fireworks all night long.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre was a stop on this run. It was a huge milestone checked off for us to play a sold out show there. During the day we were encouraged to explore the venue and get the full “Red Rocks experience.”
One day we showed up to a venue that happened to be at a Six Flags amusement park. Our tour passes gave us access to ride the roller coasters for free, so we did until closing.
Before the tour started, 311’s crew told us they wanted the vibe to be a “rock n roll summer camp.” It’s truly lived up to expectations. The venue in Gilford, NH had a large backstage area for us to ride bikes, skate, and dip into a pool.
We took a detour and flew to Chicago to play Lollapalooza. We had an early set time, but the crowd was full and ready to rage with us. Hearing so many people sing along to "Die Happy" was humbling and left us buzzing for days after.
On our drive back west after Texas, we stopped in Las Cruces, NM for the night. A few miles from our hotel was a hiking trail where we went to watch the sunset.
The next morning, our GPS took us on an off-road detour, getting our van stuck in thick desert mud. A tow truck came to the rescue and we made it just in time to play the show in Phoenix.
Now that you've gotten a behind the scenes look at their tour experience, it only makes sense to get tickets to see them live!
Currently, DREAMERS is off to Reading & Leeds in the UK where they will be performing on August 23 and 24.
On top of that, they have just announced a 29-city North American fall headline tour kicking off October 24 in San Diego and wrapping on December 6 at the El Rey in Los Angeles: make sure to check them out when they're in a city near you!
