It’s hard to not get lost in Generik’s hypnotic and sunny beats. The Australian DJ (IRL name, Tyson O’Brien) has had quite the career, from remixing songs by Halsey, Dillon Francis, and DJ Snake, to having multiple residencies in club-hub Las Vegas. Recently, he released his new single “Tony” under his new self-owned label, You Do You, which he considers his baby.
Nothing can stop Generik’s 2019 flow. He had his UK debut in Creamfields and at Dua Lipa’s Sunny Hill Festival in Kosovo. Even more recently, he concluded two amazing residencies in Ushuaïa and Pacha in Ibiza with frequent collaborator Calvin Harris, and other artists including Duke Dumont, Martin Solveig, MK, and Disciples.
To give a sense of the the craziness he was up to this summer, Generik gave us some intimate behind-the-scenes snapshots into his residency in Ibiza. Give the pics a look below and watch out for Generik’s next single “Bunny”, due out October 18 on Good Company Records!
