Food for thought: every major hub across the globe has it's very own music DNA. Whether you live in Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, or Chicago, your city is made up of countless live music fans that collectively have very different listening habits than any other place on earth. How cool is that?!
To shed light on the national and local rising stars in the aforementioned markets and beyond, Bandsintown has officially unveiled our Live Music Charts. Launched today, the data-driven online Live Music Charts will track interest in artists' touring activity in 10 major US cities and key international markets.
There will be 24 charts total, including monthly worldwide and US charts (emerging and established artists), as well as weekly charts for 10 cities across the US (buzzing and emerging artists). International charts will be rolled out in the coming weeks.
To power the rankings, Bandsintown is using a trove of data from its 50 million registered fans, who generate 500,000 clicks to ticketing sites every day.
The cherry on top? Bandsintown is also partnering with Billboard to exclusively present the Billboard + Bandsintown Tour Index with four weekly charts launching later this month! Those rankings will showcase the top overall and rising artists, both domestically and globally.
