From the moment DAISY took the stage at The Troubadour on Friday, you could feel the love. The “R&B punk” band, and real-life BFFs, were over-the-moon to be on the iconic stage. It was a triumphant homecoming for the LA-based group, and the perfect way to close their 2021 Fall tour.
Araya served as the opening act for the evening, mesmerizing the crowd with his dreamy voice and indie pop tracks. His single “Color Palette” was a highlight of his set, getting everyone in the mood to dance the night away.
When DAISY kicked off their set, the crowd could not have been more ecstatic. The band, made up of Daisy Hamel-Buffa, Alex Kasvikis, Maxx Morando, Matt Fildey, and Ben Roswell Salk, released their new EP, S.O.M.E, in October. The project is filled with romantic jazzy tracks, all anchored by Hamel-Buffa’s old school vocals. Even though it had only been out for a few weeks, the audience could be heard singing along with the band. The group also delivered fan-favorite tracks like “Way Cool Baby Love” and “DAYDREAMING.” One thing is for sure, this was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of night.
Though they just wrapped their tour, we are already dreaming of seeing DAISY live again. Check out our photos of their LA show below, and be sure to track them on Bandsintown to know when they’re in your city!
