We’re more than halfway through Mental Health Awareness month, and to support the movement we’ve joined forces with some of our favorite musicians to grow awareness and fund programs that support the cause. From Luke Combs to benny blanco, an eclectic mix of artists have come together to offer up an incredible range of prizes to fans across the board.
Announced today, Bandsintown and fan-powered charitable fundraising platform Fandiem launched the “Hear To Help” online fundraising campaign to support nonprofits as part of Mental Health Awareness Month. “Hear To Help” will benefit MusiCares, Charity Bomb, The Taylor Foundation, Sounds of Saving, Mental Wealth Alliance, and the T.A.S.T.E. Foundation as they continue their efforts to support mental health.
Fans who donate directly to “Hear To Help” have the opportunity to win unique experiences and prizes from partners representing a wide coalition of musical genres and fan communities. Participating partners include Luke Combs, Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour), KISS, Common, benny blanco, KORN, Anthony Hamilton, Bring Me The Horizon, Collie Buddz, and Louder Than Life and INKcarceration Festivals.
So, what are some of the prizes you can win? Fans can donate for an all expense-paid trip to London to hang out with Corey Taylor, a VIP trip to meet Luke Combs on his upcoming “The Middle of Somewhere” tour, a double prize experience with a trip to see KISS at this September’s Louder Than Life Festival followed by a trip to see KISS at their final live show ever, and a one-on-one virtual studio hang with benny blanco.
“We created Bandsintown For Good to turn fans’ love for live music into social good,” says Fabrice Sergent, managing partner of Bandsintown. “Mental health is impacting fans and artists alike. We’re proud to team up with Fandiem and great artists to help raise awareness and money to help support this important cause.”
"The issue of mental health has impacted all walks of life, including those working in the music industry, which can be particularly challenging both physically and emotionally," adds Jared Heiman, Fandiem's co-founder. "As part of our ongoing partnership with Bandsintown we are proud to collaborate with these amazing artists and festivals to support those that face these challenges every day."
Fandiem and Bandsintown first joined forces in 2021. More recently, in February, the two launched the “F-COVID” fundraising campaign in partnership with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which supported musicians and music industry workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Together we raised over $160,000 in direct contributions from fans. Participating artists in “F-COVID” included Metallica, Eric Church, Nine Inch Nails, Imagine Dragons, Kesha, Clairo, Billy Idol, Jason Isbell, Chicago, and more.
This partnership is part of our wider social impact initiative, Bandsintown for Good, which has helped raise over $618,000 in direct fan donations and driven 10,000+ actions. To learn more about our impact program visit impact.bandsintown.com.
