Maggie Rose’s Tour Bus Playlist Featuring Carole King, Childish Gambino

Don’t miss her on tour this fall!

By Sara Nuta - Oct 10, 2017
Maggie Rose goes on tour to promote Dreams>Dollars this fall in Fort Meyers, Nashville, Bakersfield, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego, Philadelphia, Annapolis, Vienna, Cleveland. She shares her tour bus playlist with featuring Caroline King, Childish Gambino, Kelly Clarkson, Kip Moore, Kelsea Ballerini. Don’t miss her on tour this fall!

More than just a country singer, Maggie Rose is a storyteller on the rise—a force to be reckoned with.

The Nashville-based singer’s latest EP, Dreams > Dollars contains some of her smokiest vocals and boldest lyrics yet. With tracks like “Body on Fire”, the 29-year-old crooner explores love, loss, and the sheer power of the female voice on her newest release. The album showcases her departure from traditional country into something more versatile, blending elements of hip-hop, blues, and pop into five anthemic tracks. Despite the experimentation, you can still catch glimpses of Rose’s empowered female country vocalist influences—like Shania Twain and Dixie Chicks—peeking through on this EP that she wrote and co-produced.

Currently on tour, Maggie Rose will be hitting venues across the US this fall, making stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Philly, Vienna, and more. We caught up with the singer-songwriter to find out what tracks made it onto her Tour Bus Playlist, which features everything from Blake Shelton to Childish Gambino.

Be sure to track her on Bandsintown so you don’t miss her come through your city!

Maggie Rose's Tour Bus Playlist

1. 'Electric Fever' - Them Vibes

The best rock'n'roll band in Nashville! I have been collaborating with these guys for my next project.

2. 'Loud Love' - The Morrison Brothers Band

This country rock band is on the rise! It was an honor to co-produce this record with them.

3. 'Love So Soft' - Kelly Clarkson

New jam by Kelly Clarkson is fire. She exudes so much confidence and it is quirky and sexy all at once.

4. 'Hollywood' - Lee Ann Womack

This song, her voice and the production are so inspiring to me. She has always been a favorite but I love the new direction in which she has taken her music.

5. 'Mississippi Turnpike' by Shelly Fairchild ft. Lucie Silvas

Two of the coolest female artists collaborating on one track. Raw, honest and the kind of soul you can only find in Mississippi.

6. 'I Feel the Earth Move' - Carole King

My classic jam. Carole King herself is simply classic.

7. 'I’ve Done Love' - Jana Kramer

I am so proud of my friends Jana and Nicolle Galyon for this one. Jana is a brave, honest artist who took Nicolle’s song about love’s trials and delivered it to her audience in a beautiful way.

8. 'Loving Me Back' - Brothers Osborne

Honest country music. My favorite band on country radio. It was an honor to sing this song live with them earlier this summer.

9. 'Unapologetically' - Kelsea Ballerini

She’s in love, everybody! And, it will make you smile. This title track off her new album is so catchy and fun.

10. 'Hope the High Road' - Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit

Love that Isbell brought the 400 Unit back on this incredible record that is The Nashville Sessions.

11. 'I’ll Name the Dogs' - Blake Shelton

Current country gold. Looking forward to joining Blake later this year.

12. 'Redbone' - Childish Gambino

Weekend jams.

13. 'Every Little Thing' - Carly Pearce

The only thing more vulnerable than this song is Carly’s voice and delivery. So excited for her and all the things coming her way.

14. 'Hate Me' - Jillian Jacqueline

I love Jillian’s whole vibe. She is so dynamic and this song showcases her songwriting chops.

15. 'STFU and Hold Me' - Liz Huett

Descriptive as hell and very conversational. I love the picture she paints. This girl is a badass and it is so fun watching her take off.

16. 'U KNOW I WANT U - MODERN LONGING ft. Lisa Savannah

My friend Derrick Royer of The Morrison Brothers Band introduced me and it has been stuck in my head!

17. 'Plead The Fifth' - Kip Moore

Kip is a great artist and I loved getting to hear this song while out on the road with him this past summer. So excited for people to hear Slowheart.

18. 'Body on Fire' - Maggie Rose

The lead single from my project Dreams>Dollars.

19. 'More Dreams Than Dollars' - Maggie Rose

A song I want more people to hear from my recent record. My favorite song off the project.

20. '4 X Life' - Craig Morgan ft. Maggie Rose

Off road jam that I wrote with my friend Craig Morgan.
